the AQHA, King Ranch has bred and registered more American
Quarter Horses than any other ranch or operation in history: cur-
rently over 7,300.
Today, King Ranch continues to improve on the bloodlines of
the OLD SORREL family of horses. Its current stallions: EL REY
HIDAS, KINENOS MOON, MARSALA RED, and THE BOON
are all 8th and 9th generation descendants of OLD SORREL and of
PEPPY SAN BADGER. All four of King Ranch’s stallions currently
stand to the public through the stallion services of 6666s Ranch.
Through six generations of Captain Richard King, the Family
continues to foster a culture of uncompromising quality, steward-
ship, and authenticity—a true testament to their heritage and their
