In addition to on-site breeding, reproductive services offered in-
clude embryo transfer, cooled transported and frozen semen, mare
management, and Sixes Direct, a cooled transported semen cou-
rier service that serves the 1-35 corridor from Aubrey/Pilot Point
and Weatherford areas of North Texas to Central Oklahoma. Fro-
zen semen is routinely supplied to breeders in Europe, Australia,
Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, and New Zealand.
The Four Sixes continually strives to offer top stallions in their
respective disciplines, providing breeding services to some of the
finest cutting, reining and all-around performance bred stallions
in the country. The goal of the ranch’s own breeding program is
to produce the world’s best ranch horse, utilizing most of today’s
popular bloodlines as well as proven foundation bloodlines. Par-
ticular emphasis is placed on adequate size, stamina, athletic abil-
ity, intelligence and superior cow sense. Also important traits such
as adequate withers, proper bone structure, good hoof quality and
depth of heart girth are not forgotten. Because this is a working
cattle ranch covering nearly 300,000 acres, Four Sixes cowboys re-
quire all these traits in the horses they use for daily ranch work.
On the Quarter Horse racing side of the operation, the Four Six-
es stands some of the most respected sires in the industry. The rac-
ing broodmare band produces outstanding prospects, which are
marketed annually as yearlings at the nation’s premier auctions.
