ALEDO, TEXAS, June 2, 2023 –Moncrief Quarter Horses announced Friday, June 2 that Royal Fletch had been laid to rest at the age of 26 at the ranch in Aledo, Texas. Bred by the Royal Blue Dually Partnership, the 1997 chestnut stallion was sired by NCHA Open and Non-Pro World Champion Cutting horse Jae Bar Fletch ($425,122) and out of the daughter of #1 All-Time Leading Cutting Producer Royal Blue Boon.
The stallion was purchased by Kathy Daughn and Kit Moncrief and earned more than $235,000, becoming the 2008 NCHA Open Futurity Champion, who held the all-time high score of 229 until 2008. After his performance career Kit and C.B. Moncrief entered a partnership with Burnett Ranches, LLC to stand him to the public.
